If you’re a fan of classic cars, and you’re located anywhere near Redding, you’re not going to want to miss out on the 2024 Kool April Nites auto show! With tricked-out and classic rides and plenty of community events, not to mention a raffle sponsored by us at Lithia Chevrolet of Redding, CA, there’s a weekend ahead unlike any other.
All About Kool April Nites: April 25-28th
Community Events
From the Thursday night Cornhole tournament at the Redding Civic Auditorium to the Asphalt Cowboys Pancake Breakfast taking place on Sunday at 8 am, there are plenty of opportunities to gather with fellow gearheads and ooh and ahh at the gorgeous classic cars, along with showing off your own beauty! From hot rods to classic pickups to low-riders, there are plenty of chances to see rare and classic cars on the road and up close.
The Classic Cruise
Starting on Saturday, April 27th at 6:30 pm, and lasting a full 90 minutes, the Classic Cruise is a must-watch event! Watch as the streets fill triple-wide with classic cars, from Model Ts to Camaros and Bel Aires. Remember that the City will start street closures around 5 o’clock, so be sure to get your vantage point early so you can watch the classic beauties roaring by!
The Big Show & Shine
Running from 7 am to 4 pm on Saturday, the Big Show and Shine is the highlight of the weekend’s festivities. Stroll up and down a tremendous line of classic cars, get your photo taken with your favorite rides, and enjoy free entertainment, too.
Spectators pay a nominal entry fee to prowl the grounds, but with so much to see and so many amazing entertainment options available, it’s well worth it. And bring the whole family! Spectator entry is free to those under 12 or over 70, with teens and most adults paying just $10 to enter.
It’s Not Too Late to Register!
Have a pre-1979 classic car to show? It’s not too late to register your ride! From VW Bugs to old-school Willys Jeeps, as long as it’s street-legal and insured, you can register your classic car for the Cruise and for the Car Show. You can also show off your car at the Car Corral, starting on Sunday at 8 am, even if you’re not registered for the main event.
