There are also several waterfalls to explore, including Whiskeytown Falls, the tallest waterfall in the park. The tallest waterfall in the park can be reached by hiking a 3.4 miles round-trip hike. 3. Lassen Volcanic National Park

Lassen Volcanic National Park is located about one hour west of Redding and is home to various volcanic features. The park offers hiking, camping, picnicking, and ranger-led programs. Some of the park’s highlights include hiking to the top of Lassen Peak, exploring Bumpass Hell, and seeing the Sulphur Works. You can only visit the Sulphur Works by vehicle in the summer and fall seasons.

The park also has a variety of wildlife, including deer, bears, and birds. The park also has several lakes for swimming, fishing, and boating. No matter your interests, Lassen Volcanic National Park is sure to have something for you.
